Chester Skateland staff manage concession stands

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Additional part-time staff members have been busy around town during the summer months working in the City of Chester concession stands. Area youth are employed by the city to work at Chester Skateland. These staff members were also in charge of the summer concession stands at the Chester Municipal Swimming Pool, Cole Memorial Park ball field and two stands at the Cohen Recreation Complex. The part-time Skateland employees in charge of the summer concessions included: Missy Lyons, Daysha Westerman, Aaron Diercks, Joey Carter, Dakota Crawford, Sam Higgerson.

The Skateland workers assigned to the concession stands were responsible for a variety of jobs during their summer assignments. Some of their duties included: stocking the inventory, cash control for sales, sanitation in each stand, checking inventory before and after each shift, food handling, daily clean up duties. The various concession stands offered packaged food and snacks, nachos, hot dogs, pretzels, ice cream, popsicles, soda, bottled water and Gatorade. The concession stand at the Chester Municipal Pool was open during the pool hours, and the stands at Cole Park and Cohen Recreation Complex were open during the Chester Sports summer ball games. The Skateland staff will also be handling the stands for school baseball and softball games. Home games for Chester High School, Chester Grade School and St. John Lutheran School are all held at the Cohen Complex.

These employees will also continue to work part time at Chester Skateland through the year. The City of Chester is pleased to employ area youth and appreciates the hard work by these responsible employees. The summer work program and part-time positions continue to help local youth earn wages and obtain experience.
