Robbins Tour Company welcomes Margaret Pierce

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Margaret Pierce, a retired Steeleville High School teacher, has taken a position with Robbins Tour Company of Marquand, Missouri. It is operated by Bill Robbins, who continued the business begun by his father in the 1960's. Pierce is well-known for her travel to Europe with student groups, but will now focus on United States travel. One day and longer excursions are offered by the company. Major pickup points will be Chester and Red Bud, but depending on sales stops can be made at Ruma, Evansville, and Ellis Grove. Trips scheduled include an excursion to The Little Ole Opry in Jackson, Missouri on August 22, a 4-day, 3-night trip to Galena, Illinois and the House on the Rock, "Where Imagination Comes to Life", on September 13-16, and October 6 wine-tasting day trip to Crown Valley, etc., a 3-day, 2-night trip to Branson November 22-24 to see the Ozark Mountain Christmas and see Daniel O'Donnell among others, and a December 8 evening trip to the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. In 2010, a March 17 trip to Springfield to see the new Lincoln Museum and Lincoln's home is planned as well as an April 17 trip to the Charleston Dogwood-Azalea Festival. Other trip locations will eventually include: Amish Country in Indiana, the Shaker Village area in Kentucky, Nauvoo, IL/Hannibal, MO area, Herman, MO. Oktoberfest and possibly the Natchez/Vicksburg ara since several people have suggested it.
