Accident on Bob Green Drive

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Two Du Quoin drivers were taken to Marshall Browning Hospital by the Pinckneyville Ambulance Service following a two-car accident on Bob Green Drive between the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds and the nearby Southern Illinois Center. The Du Quoin Police Department says George E. Ridgeway, 76, of Du Quoin was coming out of Gate 5 and failed to yield the right of way to a car driven by Rachel L. Harsy, 26, of Du Quoin. Ridgeway struck the driver's side door of Harsy's Ford coupe. Firemen had to remove the door in order for EMTs to provide medical help to Harsy. Ridgeway was cited for failure to yield the right of way to Harsy. Both vehicles received major damage and were removed from the scene by Watts Towing. The Harsy vehicle is pictured at center and the Ridgeway van at right.
