</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Thursday came and went without one viable bid on the sprawling Technicolor Universal Media Services (TUMS) building along Rt. 154 east of Pinckneyville.

Auctioneers today were still tallying the sale of hundreds of pieces of equipment and parts sold in a separate auction.

The building--once home to Perry County's largest employer was thought to be a saleable asset, but has since turned into an albatross, draining the city's financial and emotional resources.

The building has been appraised at $540,000. The city cannot legally sell it for less than $432,000.

Bidders from across the globe are were able to participate in the auction on site or via a simultaneous internet auction.
