Perry County Resident Bitten by Bat with Rabies
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[For the first time in 18 years in Perry County an animal has tested positive for rabies. This viral disease attacks the central nervous system. Residents should be caucious of animals acting different than normal. Rabies does not require an animal to "foam at the mouth" but instead is labeled with changes in an animal's normal behavior. Vaccinate your pets and stay away from wild animals.
