Sparta Community Chorus Spring Cabaret The Magic of Disney

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Tickets are now on sale for the Sparta Community Chorus Spring Cabaret The Magic of Disney under the direction of Jeffrey Salger. The Magic of Disney will spotlight the talent of many local adults and children from Sparta, Red Bud, Marissa, Steeleville, Chester and many other surrounding communities.

Act I will contain a variety of songs from Classic Disney movies such as Cinderella, Snow White, Bambi, Pocahontas, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, Dumbo, Jungle Book, and many more. All of the beloved Disney Princesses will make an appearance, as well as some of the evil villains.

Act II will consist of five Disney movies that were made into Broadway musicals. An ensemble of songs from Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Tarzan and The Lion King will be performed.

Performances are June 5, 7, 12, 13, and 14 at the Sparta Community Playhouse. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday performances are at 2:00 p.m. The Playhouse is located within the Showtime movie theater complex in Sparta.

Tickets are $9 for opening night, and $10 for all other performances and can be reserved by calling Laura & David Goetting at 618-497-8029.

In conjunction with the Disney Cabaret, the chorus will be sponsoring a Princess Tea on Saturday, June 13th at 2:00 p.m. All of the Disney Princesses will be having a tea party with heart-shaped Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches and other goodies. You can play games and get your picture taken with your favorite Disney Princess. Tickets for the Princess Tea are $8 for girls age 4-10. For reservations for the tea, please call Amy at 618-570-1106.
