IHSA BOYS TRACK: Local Athletes State-Bound in Five Events

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Perry County has IHSA Class 1A State Boys Track and Field qualifers in five different events following Friday's Chester Sectional.

Du Quoin scored 32 points in the meet, good enough for sixth place.. Pinckneyville (10) was 10th.

The Indians had one first place finisher as Trevor Hoffman (39.72) streaked to victory in the 300 Meter Intermediate Hurdles. Hoffman (15.4) placed fourth and also matched the state qualifying standard in the 110 Meter High Hurdles.

Karson Hoffman (51.04) was second in the 400 Meter Dash and will also run at state with the 4x400 Meter Relay team. The squad was fourth (3:31.2) to easily best state standards. T. Hoffman, James Williams and David Rose ran the first three legs.

Pinckneyville's lone qualifier is junior high jumper Jake Bathon, who went 6'3.
