Du Quoin Police Sgt. Returns Home

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Du Quoin Police Department Detective Sgt. Gerry Whitley arrived home for a two-week leave from the Army on Sunday. He has been stationed in Afghanistan since September. Family and friends filled the front yard of the Whitley home on East Main Street for the Sunday homecoming. He is pictured here with wife Laura and children Katrina and Olivia. The newspaper is looking forward to a meeting this week to learn about his current tour, and moreso to convey the community's profound appreciation for his service.
