Three Injured in Accident: Semi-Tractor Truck Overturns

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Two drivers and one passenger were injured in a car-truck crash at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2 an accident occurred on Route 127 near Carnation Road in Perry County.

The report was not available at press time on Friday.

William A. Schroeder, 66, Carbondale, was southbound on Route 127 when he swerved into the northbound lane, sideswiping a semi tractor trailer truck , driven by Robert E. Kolweier, Nashville.

The semi was hit on the rear of the driver's side and overturned, spilling rock. The accident is still under investigation and charges are pending.

Both Schroeder and his passenger, John T. Schroeder, 11, Nashville, were injured. William A. Schroeder was taken to Pinckneyville Community Hospital with major injuries then transferred to a St. Louis Hospital.

John T. Schroeder sustained minor injuries and was taken to Washington County Hospital.
