Friday's Prep Softball: Lady Indians Win at Lebanon

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ An early two-run homer by Kelsey Toler held up for Du Quoin High School's Softball team, which edged Lebanon 2-1 Friday afternoon.

The road win improved Du Quoin's record to 3-3, entering Saturday morning's game against host Marion to start a 16-team invitational tournament.

Toler's second inning roundtripper was the decisive blow as Lady Indian pitcher Chelsea Hill struck out 11 batters.

Lebanon won an abbreviated junior varsity game- which went three innings- by the score of 4-3.

Also Friday night, the Johnston City Round-Robin Tournament was cancelled because of impending precipitation.

Pinckneyville, J'City, Toledo-Cumberland and St. Joseph-Ogden were scheduled to compete.
