County Board, business as usual
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ The Randolph County Board of Commissioners met for their bi-monthly meeting on Friday, Feb. 6. It was business as usual for the commissioners, approving minutes, corrections, bills and appointments.
Terry Moore, Chairman of the Randolph County Board of Commissioners, was appointed to the Illinois County Insurance Trust Board. Moore has been on the ICIT Board for 15-years and is currently the chairman. The ICIT is an insurance trust for county employees. It includes 9-11 counties around the area, which are all self-insured.
The year end settlement was up to $6,126,572.48 for all the miscellaneous funds. For total funds, it jumped up to $9,959,109.03. This includes all cash accounts and investments.
The Randolph County Clerk and Recorder Annual Report was submitted to the board on Friday. The total recording fees brought in were at $81,121.45. That is fees for all documents that pass through the county seat subtracting the various dues that are paid. Total earnings for the county from Dec. 2007- Nov. 2008 was $266,157.89. This money will be churned into the general fund.
The Care Center is still figuring out how to upgrade their TVs to coincide with the digital switch on Feb. 17. They are considering cable but have received more coupons for the converter boxes. They will be seeing a new maintenance man on Monday, Feb. 16.
The next County Board meeting will take place on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 9:00 a.m.
