Batson signs with Illinois College

<p dir="ltr"><span>Steeleville senior J.R. Batson recently signed a national letter-of-intent to continue his golf career at Illinois College and had a signing ceremony on Thursday at the high school gym.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>"We are extremely excited to announce the addition of J.R. Batson to our men's golf program," said Abby Vorreyer, head men's and women's golf coach for Illinois College, in a news release. "J.R. possesses a tremendous amount of potential to be a key piece in our golf program. He is the type of person that will do anything he can to help his team be successful and is no stranger to providing positive leadership."</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>Vorreyer also expressed her anticipation of Batson joining the IC program.</span>

<p dir="ltr"><span>"I am confident that his positive attitude, along with his enthusiasm to continue to get better, is going to be a great fit for our program and Illinois College," she said. "I have no doubt that he will have great success here at IC both on and off the golf course."</span>
