Randolph County Taste of Hope Backs Relay for Life

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Randolph County Relay for life is continuing its fund raising efforts on July 15th, 2010 by sponsoring the county wide Taste of Hope program. Participating Randolph County restaurants are donating the proceeds earned to Randolph County Relay for Life.

The participating restaurants as of Friday, 2 July, are: Chester- Chester County Club-5pm-7pm

If any Randolph County restaurant would like to participate in this event, contact The American Cancer Society Event Coordinator is ACS Staff Partner- Roxanne Conley who can be contacted by emailing her at: roxanne.conley@cancer.org Committee members and Team Captains can also access Relay information at: http://www.relayforlife.org/relay ; once there, search for Randolph County, IL Relay For Life.

All monies earned go to supporting Randolph County victims of cancer. Cancer patients can access Personal Health Managers who are available free of charge from the American Cancer Society.

A Personal Health Manager is a useful toolkit that can help patients learn about cancer, the treatments, and the side effects, how to organize information, and keep track of test results, doctors appointments, and medications. Patients and their caregivers can also take the tool kit to doctor appointments and share it with the health care team. Call our local American Cancer Society to receive your free kit.

So come out and help the sponsoring restaurants - Chester Country Club, 17th Street BBQ, Sparta McDonalds, and Shannon's Pub in Tilden in their Taste of Hope celebrations to help cancer victims celebrate many more birthdays
