Eastgate wins Bright Spot Award
The Eastgate Shopping Center renovation at 622 E. Walnut St. has been recognized with a Bright Spot Award from Keep Carbondale Beautiful, a local affiliate of the national nonprofit Keep America Beautiful.
Dan Parrish and Tony Gallatin, owners of Eastgate Shopping Center and Ashley Stores in Carbondale, have been working on the renovation for a couple of years. The new facades and paint job brighten the 600 block of East Walnut Street, and plans for additional renovations, which include new parking lot lights and revitalized signage, will brighten things even more.
