Saline students, Egyptian Health Department join efforts against tobacco

SALINE COUNTY - Eldorado High School students, along with middle schoolers from Harrisburg Middle School, joined forces with the Egyptian Health Department to pledge to a tobacco-free lifestyle Wednesday.

As a part of "Kick Butts Day," a national anti-tobacco effort, students signed banners pledging not to use tobacco products.

The program was organized by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. This year more than 1,000 events in schools and towns were expected to take place across the United States and globally. Students used the opportunity reach out to their peers, parents, relatives, and others in their communities regarding tobacco cessation.
