Allan Howard Dunn

Allan Howard Dunn, 74, of Du Quoin, passed away at 5:52 p.m., Friday, Nov. 23, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

Allan was a retired police officer for the Los Angles Police Department.

He was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the Du Quoin Elks Lodge and the Du Quoin Sons of the American Legion. Allan was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was born on Feb. 2, 1938 at Maywood, Calif. the son of Robert Fredrick and Antoninette (Curtis) Dunn.

Allan married Robin Dawn Coleman on Oct. 8, 1983 at Van Nuys, Calif. and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, two daughters- Teri Guzman and Donna Flint both of Los Angles, Calif., three grandchildren- Kelsy, Roxanne and Shannon, sister- Starlette Ferencz of Los Angles, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

It was Allan's request to be cremated.

There will be no visitation or funeral service.

Friends may make memorials to the American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
