Steeleville Area Public Library November events

Submitted by Steeleville Area Public Library

November is Picture Book Month - the perfect time to sign up for the Steeleville Area Public Library's 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program. For every 100 books read, your child will get a small prize and their reading milestone in the newspaper.

Here's what's going on at the library in November:

• Saturday, Nov. 6, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: The library will host a Spanish Language COVID-19 Rental Assistance Program, "Programa de Apoyo Para Renta y Servicios Publicos Debido al COVID-19."

• Thursday, Nov. 11: Library closed for Veterans Day.

• Saturday, Nov. 13, 10-11 a.m.: Elf on the Shelf Story Hour - Help us name our new elf friend, read a story about Christmas elves, and make a holiday craft.

• Monday, Nov. 15, 7 p.m.: board meeting

• Nov. 14-20: Join our Family Reading Night challenge. Bring a photo of your family reading together to the library for a treat. Family Reading Night is Nov. 18.

• Saturday, Nov. 20: Thanksgiving Curbside Craft

• Thursday and Friday, Nov. 25-26: Library closed for Thanksgiving.

Visit the library on Facebook or at www.steelevillelibrary.org for more details on library events.
