MHS bowlers knock down Herrin in home opener

MARION - The Marion High School girls' bowling team opened its home season Tuesday with a win over Herrin.

The Lady Wildcats bested the Tigers by 19 pins, 1779-1760.

Freshman Taylor McAllister led Marion with a high game of 172, besting her average by 20 pins.

Taylor also improved her average from last week by just over 40 pins.

The Lady Wildcats faced Carbondale at home last night.

They travel to Carterville next week.
