24 DQMS students inducted into National Junior Honor Society
Twenty-four new members were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society at Du Quoin Middle School Friday evening.
NJHS adviser Jeremy Cornett welcomed the students and their families, and 8th grade NJHS member Claire Rose made opening remarks.
The five pillars of National Junior Honor Society were highlighted - scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship - and candles were lit to represent them.
The new inductees said the pledge and signed the NJHS Chapter Book, followed by congratulations from Du Quoin Middle School Principal Aaron Hill. A cake reception closed the evening.
