pet of the week Winston is 12, with a whole lot of life left inside
This handsome and loving 12-year-old senior boy is Winston.
Winston was adopted from our shelter nine years ago. He lost his human mother when she passed away recently.
Please don't let his diabetic diagnosis keep you from considering him. He currently requires two shots per day and he takes them extremely well. His vision is limited but once he is acclimated to his situation he does very well.
He still has a lot of love to give. He loves, loves, loves his balls - especially his giggle ball. He just needs a wonderful loving home to live out the rest of his time.
He is currently residing in a foster home so an approved application must be received before we can arrange a meet and greet with Winston.
Winston's vaccinations are up to date and he is neutered. He would be good in a home with other dogs or cats.
Please know that if you come to meet any of the dogs at our facility, they may be excited to see you and extra active. Many times, this is not a true picture of how they may act in a warm, safe home setting. We, as volunteers, often take our shelter dogs on home visits and they become calm and act like completely different animals. This pertains to potty habits and demeanor. Please realize that they need a chance to shine out of the shelter setting!
If you have specific questions about Winston, email the shelter volunteer at pchsinfo@yahoo.com. To apply, visit www.perrycountyhumanesocietyil.com.
