Thomas Dean Davison
Thomas Dean Davison, 58, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:50 A.M., Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Thomas worked his entire career at Menard Correctional Center, in Chester, IL, as a Correctional Officer where he obtained the rank of Sergeant. He served in the United States Army. Thomas was of the Non-Denominational faith.
Family and friends were important to him and his grandbabies were very special to him.
He was born July 8, 1957 at Du Quoin, IL, the son of Thomas Edward and Dorothy Janelle (Loucks) Davison Jr.
He married Deborah Rae Zettler on October 19, 2012 at Pinckneyville, IL and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, three children - Stephen Davison and Nicole of Marion, Rhonda Davison and Curtis Huff of Tamaroa, Jeremiah Davison and Tiffany Lyon of Murphysboro, mother - Dorothy Janelle Loucks Brockel of St. Louis, MO, step mother - Janis Davison of Du Quoin, step father - Fritz Wiemar of Lake St. Louis, Mo, brothers and sisters - Laura Davison of Du Quoin, Lottie Ridgeway and Darren of Du Quoin, Timothy Davison and Lovisa of Lake St. Louis, MO, Susie Cole and Donald of Du Quoin, Keith Knetzger of San Diego, CA, Deanna Wiemar of Wentzville, MO, grandchildren - Gabrielle Davison, Draven Davison, Jennika Davison, Kiera Pulke, Kali Pulke, Jessa Davison, and Alanna Huff, mother and father-in-law - Wilma and Dale Zettler of Tamaroa, brother-in-law - Ronnie Zettler and Carol of Tamaroa, several nieces and nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, son - Jonathan E. Davison, grandmother - Betty Lockeby, and nephew - Thomas Clark.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with the family conducting the service.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
There will be a Correctional Officerís Honor Guard Service at the cemetery.
Friends may make memorials to St. Jude Childrenís Hospital in his son Jonathanís name.
