Banterra Bank lends support to Veterans Honor Flight

MARION - Banterra Bank will assist Veterans Honor Flight during March by promoting and selling patriotic die-cuts in nearly 40 branches throughout Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Missouri.

Customers, team members, and the public are invited to purchase die-cuts in honor of a veteran for $1, with all proceeds going to Veterans Honor Flights in both southern Illinois and southern Indiana.

This is the second year Banterra has selected Veterans Honor Flight for its companywide promotion. Last year's campaign raised $3,000.

Banterra team members can wear jeans on Fridays when making a donation. Since 2017, more than 100 Banterra team members have assisted with the southern Illinois flight.

"Banterra is proud to partner with Veterans Honor Flight to honor our local veterans with a trip to Washington, D.C.," said Jeff May, President. "Giving back to the community where we live and work is an important part of Banterra. It's a privilege to assist Veterans Honor Flight in providing this experience to men and women who have served out country."

The Honor Flight Network is a nonprofit organization created to honor veterans for their sacrifices with a free one-day trip to Washington, D.C. to visit memorials. Veterans Honor Flight covers all expenses. To learn more about the Honor Flight Network, go to www.honorflight.org.
