DHS Guidance Department to Host Financial Aid Night Thursday Starting at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday night is the annual DHS Financial Aid Seminar at DHS.
The seminar will be held in the cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. A representative from Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will present information that students need to know for any college you plan to attend. The ISAC representative is DHS graduate, Lydia Dunmyer.
Juniors and parents are encouraged to attend because you need to hear the terms and other information so you will be ready to apply or estimate the aid you can receive.
Seniors and parents are expected to attend so you can apply for aid after Jan. 1. Financial Aid and the FAFSA is the first step for all college financial assistance, including the student work program.
There will also be a John A. Logan representative there to talk about how to register for classes. Even though he's from Logan, the information is usable for any colleges.
Some teachers are giving extra credit so be sure to sign in when you arrive.
