2010 CHS Homecoming King and Queen

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Justin Eggemeyer is the new Chester High School Homecoming King and his Queen is Jaelee Fortner. Both are CHS seniors. Fellow senior Blake Nanney is the Runner Up for King and senior Taylor Crum is the 2010 maid of Honor.

King Eggemeyer is the son of Nelson and Marlene Eggemeyer. At CHS Justin is involved in football and baseball. He enjoys being with friends and playing NCAA 11 with his buddies. Next year he plans to attend SIUC where he will major in kinesiology.

Queen Fortner is the daughter of Ryan and Joby Petrowske and Rob Fortner. At CHS she is Senior Class President, Student Council President, a member of Drug Free Youth and a Summit Yearbook Staff member. She enjoys shopping, watching Yellow Jacket Football, exercising and spending time with friends. Next year she plans to attend Southeast Missouri State where she will major in Pre-Physical Therapy.

King Runner Up Nanney is the son of dale and Cheryl Nanney. At CHS Blake is involved with Student Council, Drug Free Youth, Scholar Bowl, Football and Track. He enjoys spending time with friends and playing football. Next year he will attend SWIC and following completion of his general studies he will transfer to Southern Illinois University where he plans to become a veterinarian.

Maid of Honor Crum is the daughter of Darrel and Teri Crum. Taylor is involved in volleyball, dance, band, swing choir, Student Council, Yearbook Staff, Drug Free Youth, FCA and she is a Class of 2010 officer. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and going to the movies. Next year Taylor plans to attend Murray State University to major in Broadcast Journalism.

The remaining members of the 2010 Homecoming Court include seniors Tyler Jones and Britney Schroeder and juniors Samuel Clint Cole, Jenna Wingerter, Jordan Wetzel and Shelby Long.

Jones is the son of Alex Jones. He has played football for the Yellow Jackets for the past three years. He enjoys listening to music, playing games and spending time with friends. Next year he plans to enlist in the United States Marines.

Schroeder is the daughter of Scott and Donna Schroeder. At CHS she is involved with Student Council, Dance Team and volleyball. In her spare time Britney likes to spend time with friends, exercise and watch her male friends play football on Friday nights.

Clint Cole is the son of Brian and Tammy Cole. He is involved in band, Spanish Club, football and baseball. Clint enjoys spending time with his friends. He will be a CHS senior next year. He plans to graduate and his goal is to help take the football team to the State Playoffs in 2011.

Jenna Wingerter is the daughter of Robert and Jody Wingerter. At CHS she is a member of Student Council where she is the Extra Curricular Chairperson. She is also in Drug Free Youth, Life Jackets, volleyball, swing choir, National Honor Society, Summit Yearbook Staff and dance team. She will be a senior next year and hopes to make many great memories in 2011-2012. In her spare time Jenna enjoys spending time with friends and attending CHS football games.

Jordan Wetzel is the son of Aaron and Lynette Wetzel. In school Jordan is involved with football, band, Spanish Club and the CHS Weight Lifting Team. He enjoys playing football, training in mixed martial arts and spending time with friends. Jordan will graduate in 2012 and hopes to help take the football team to the playoffs in 2011.

Shelby Long is the daughter of Glenn and Mary Long. At CHS she plays on the lady jackets Volleyball Team and is in dance and drill, Student Council, Scholar Bowl and Environmental Club. She enjoys spending time with friends and family. She hopes to make many memories next year as a senior and will graduate in 2012.

Retiring King and Queen Jeffery Beers and Jamie Chambers were on hand throughout the weekend for the Homecoming Parade, Football game and Homecoming Dance to bring their reign as 2009 King and Queen to an end and to crown the new 2010 Homecoming King and Queen.

Jeff Beers is the son of Dr. Jim and Vicky Beers. He is a freshman at Southern Illinois University where he is a Music Performance Major. At SIU Jeff is a member of the 2010 SIU Marching Salukis, the select music group the SIUC Wind Ensemble and the SIUC Tuba Studio. He plans to graduate with a B.A. in Music Performance in 2014.

Jamie Chambers is the daughter of Stacy and Tucker Search and Wayne Chambers. Jamie is a freshman at Southwestern Illinois College where she is a scholarship volleyball player for the SWIC Blue Storm. Her major is Speech Pathology. Upon completion of her Associates Degree Jamie will transfer to a four-year university to complete her degree.
