Darleen I. Jones

Darleen I. (Porter) Jones, 84, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:57 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Darleen worked at Krogers for many years and was a beautician. She was a member of the Elkville Christian Church.

She was born Sept. 13, 1930 at Dowell, Ill., the daughter of Delbert and Clara Belle (Casleton) Porter.

She married Robert K. Jones on July 22, 1949 at Energy, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 2000.

She is survived by three children - Kenneth D. Jones and wife Darla J. of Tamaroa, Cindy G. Jones of Du Quoin and Robbie K. Jones and wife Donna of Du Quoin, seven grandchildren - John Henry Jones, Ashlee Williams, Whitney Melton, Tyler Jones, Demi Jones, Corey Jones and Megi Jones and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - Robert Jones, six brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Bro. Jerry Aken officiating.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.

Friends may make memorials to the Elkville Christian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
