Pinckneyville's Santa sign revitalized by students
PINCKNEYVILLE - PCHS art teacher Brigid McCann and Art Club members have completed the Santa Claus repainting project, giving the Pinckneyville icon a fresh look for 2019.
The PCHS artists spent many hours after school in the past month working on each piece of the over 20-foot Christmas greeter, then put him together this week in the auxiliary gym for a photo shoot before Pinckneyville city employees gathered the pieces for the jolly soul's long winter's nap.
Santa will take his usual place on the square by the Perry County Courthouse to greet visitors coming up Illinois 127 from the south throughout the 2019 Christmas season.
