Michael Moss

Michael "Mike" Charles Moss, 55, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 11:45 P.M., Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital in Pinckneyville, IL.

Mike had worked as a tire inspector at Continental Tire in Mt. Vernon, IL. He was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Du Quoin.

He loved his grandchildren; they were his life.

He was born December 20, 1959 at Du Quoin, IL, the son of Charles W. and Hilda I. (Queen) Moss.

He married Kelli Kringer on October 19, 1979 in Pinckneyville and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Pinckneyville, father of Du Quoin, three daughters - Carrie Pate and husband Jeff of Du Quoin, Abbie Ping and husband Jason of Tamaroa, and Lucinda Pickens of Pinckneyville, grandchildren - Cami Pickens, Cassi Pickens, Chevy Carson, Hunter Ping, Kenzie Ping, Ruby Pate, and Darius Pate, sister - Laurie Carver of Du Quoin, brother - Steve Moss and wife Sherry of Du Quoin, mother-in-law - Rosalie Kringer of Pinckneyville, sister-in-law - Kim and husband David Cummins of Paducah, KY, sister-in-law - Kathy Morton of Pinckneyville, brother-in-law - Jon and wife Jennifer Kringer of Pinckneyville, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, one sister - Terry Strode, and father-in-law - Ronald Kringer.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Holts Prairie Baptist Church in Pinckneyville with Bro. Ivan Plemmons officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M., Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin and from 9 A.M. until time of service on Tuesday at the church.

Burial will be in the Holts Prairie Cemetery at Pinckneyville.

Friends may make memorials to Independent Baptist Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the funeral home.
