CMS seventh-grade boys basketball CMS boys win conference championship
The Carbondale Middle School seventh-grade boys basketball team recently won its conference championship after defeating Carterville 40-25 on Jan. 26.
First-year head coach Kobe Lewis-Moss says he is looking to change the direction of the basketball program.
In the first round, the team beat the Benton Rangers 47-35 before moving on to the championship game against Carterville.
This was the first time the team won its conference in seven years. The boys finished the season with a record of 18-3.
