Sheriff's and police reports

The following information was obtained from the police departments listed below. Note that arrests and charges are allegations only, not findings of guilt.

RANDOLPH COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

• Scott W. Kiefer, 51, of Sparta, was arrested July 9 by Sparta Police on a Randolph County warrant for theft over. Bond is $10,000.

• Travis W. Burris, 37, of Willisville, was arrested July 9 by Steeleville Police for driving revoked. he was released after posting $150 cash bond.

• Christina M. Gordillo, 41, of Prairie Du Rocher, was arrested July 10 by Randolph County Sheriff's Office for domestic battery & home invasion.

• Steven J. McNail, 31, of DuQuoin, was arrested July 10 by Sparta Police for theft over.

• Alfred A. Alvarez, 29, of Ellis Grove, was arrested July 11 by Sparta Police on a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on driving suspended, etc. charges. Bond is $5,000.

• Ashley L. Hemmer, 25, of Baldwin, was arrested July 11 by Randolph County Sheriff's Office on a St. Clair County warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Released after posting $2,000 cash bond.

• Shequel L. Sleydin, 24, of Sparta, was arrested July 11 by Randolph County Sheriff's Office on a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on a possession of cannabis charge. Bond is $7,500. He is also wanted out of Washington County for residential burglary. Bond is $10,000.

• Ashley E. Schonagel, 28, of Chester, was arrested July 11 by Randolph County Sheriff's Office on a Randolph County warrant for failure to appear on an aggravated battery charge. No bond on the warrant.

• David A. Dayton, 30, of Tilden, was arrested July 11 by Tilden Police for driving suspended & no insurance.

• Jamie L. Stout, 36, of Chester, was arrested July 12 by Chester Police for obstructing justice. She is also wanted out of Randolph County for failure to appear on a driving suspended charge. Bond is $3,000. She is also wanted out of Perry County, MO for failure to appear & has an IDOC warrant for burglary.

• Mildred M. Murphy, 36, of Tilden, was arrested July 12 by Tilden Police on two St. Clair County warrants. The first for violation of sex offender registration, bond is $75,000. The second for DUI, bond is $5,000. She was also charged by Randolph County Sheriff's Office for failure to register as a sex offender.

• Scott E. Dobyns, 44, of Tilden, was arrested July 12 by Tilden Police for battery. He was released after posting $150 cash bond.

• Joshua J. Marhanka, 32, of Steeleville, was arrested July 12 by Steeleville Police for domestic battery.

• Russell R. Asbury, 49, of Chester, was arrested July 13 by Chester Police for domestic battery.

• Robert T. Schweizer, 23, of Steeleville, was arrested July 13 by Randolph County Sheriff's Office on a Randolph County warrant for criminal damage to property. Bond is $10,000.

• Brandon L. Copple, 21, of Sparta, was arrested July 14 by Randolph County Sheriff's Office for domestic battery & criminal damage to property.

• Matthew A. Hedtkamp, 30, of Steeleville, was arrested July 14 by Steeleville Police for residential burglary & criminal trespass to residence. He is also wanted out of Washington County for theft. Bond on the warrant is $8,000.

• Devin J. Palmer, 20, of Red Bud, was arrested July 15 by Randolph County Sheriff's Office for DUI & improper lane usage. Palmer was released after posting $100 cash bond & a valid driver's license.

• Christopher W. Martin 25, of Coulterville, was arrested July 15 by Coulterville Police for domestic battery.

• Matthew J. Brueggemann, 19, of Steeleville, was arrested July 16 by Sparta Police for possession of a controlled substance.

SPARTA POLICE

• Michael J. Miller, 39, of Sparta, was arrested July 9 for obstructing justice and disorderly conduct. He was given a Randolph County Court date.

• Justin L. Risley, 23, of Tilden, was cited July 10 for Driving while License Suspended. He was given a City Court date.

• Leah R. Peterson, 19, of Sparta, was arrested July 11 on a Randolph County warrant for Failure to Appear Larceny. She posted bond and was given a Randolph County Court date.

• Chance J.D. Windes, 24, of Evansville was arrested July 12 for Driving while License Suspended. Windes was given a City Court date.

• Daniel A. Moore, 29, of Tilden, was arrested July 14 for Driving while License Suspended and Illegal Transportation Alcohol. He was given a City Court date.

• Sarah T. Nordmann, 38, of Sparta, was arrested July 14 for Unlawful Possession Drug Paraphernalia. She was given a City Court Date.

• Rebecca S. Carev, 39, of Marissa, was arrested July 14 for Driving while License Suspended. Caarev was given a City Court date.

• Antoine L. Starnes, 28, of Sparta, was arrested July 14 for Driving while License Suspended and Illegal Transportation Alcohol. He was given a City Court date.
