PCHS may get contractors paid with short term loan
Pinckneyville High School Superintendent Keith Hagene will research local options for a short-term construction loan to pay contractors while the district waits for the state to hand over the promised Capital Development Board funds for the new school.
The board discussed the delay in construction bond sales by the state. PCHS had been told to expect the remaining $1.4 million in grant funds from the Illinois Capital Development Board in February.
In response to a question from Steve Williamson, Hagene explained that the design components for the new press box addition to the track and field complex are nearly complete. However, the project cannot move forward until the funds from the state are received.
In other business, the board:
• entered executive session to hear complaints against personnel and students at 6:35 p.m. and exited closed session at 7:43 p.m. No action was taken.
