Du Quoin athletes compete at Top Times meet

BLOOMINGTON - The Du Quoin High School track and field teams sent five athletes to the Class 1A portion of the Illinois Top Times Indoor State Meet held Friday at the Shirk Center on the Illinois Wesleyan University campus.

In the girls meet, sophomore Gabrielle Alongi placed third in the 800 run with a time of 2:22.71.

Madison Davis placed sixth in the 60 dash (8.08 seconds) and Baily Harsy was 15th (8.30), then Dadis also ran the 200 and placed 13th in 27.35.

On the boys side, Shamar Adams placed fifth in the 60 hurdles (8.61) with Kyle Robinson right behind in seventh (8.94) and Dasani Edward placed fourth in triple jump with a mark of 42-5.75.
