Mabel A. Weisel of Tamaroa
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Mabel A. Weisel, 92, of Tamaroa passed away at 5:10 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Fairview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Du Quoin.<br /> Mabel had been a homemaker and had worked as an inspector at Decca-MCA. She was a member of Nine Mile Baptist Church in Tamaroa.<br /> She was born May 5, 1924, at St. Johns, the daughter of James H. and Amanda (Elder) Woodside.<br /> She married James Weisel June 10, 1945 in Du Quoin, and he survives.<br /> She is survived by her husband of Tamaroa; two sons, Ray Weisel and Harold Weisel, both of Tamaroa; four grandchildren, Brad Weisel of Du Quoin, Eric Weisel of Tamaroa, Jeremy Weisel and wife Rhonda of Pinckneyville, and Amanda Harris and husband Jason of Du Quoin; five great-grandchildren, Emily Weisel of Tennessee, Casey Weisel of Carterville, Shelby Harris of Du Quoin, Treyton Weisel of Tamaroa and Lukas Weisel of Tamaroa; one brother, Richard Woodside of Du Quoin; and special friend Nancy Eachues of Tamaroa.<br /> She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter-in-law, Joan Weisel, one great-grandchild, Kimber Weisel; and siblings Clyde Woodside, Helen Wynn, James Woodside, Lillian Downen, Amanda Rose Woodside, Ray Woodside, Cecil Woodside and Phyllis Huggins.<br /> Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2017, at Nine Mile Baptist Church in Tamaroa with the Rev. Noah Schlag and the Rev. Bill Uhls officiating.<br /> <span class="contextualExtensionHighlight ms-font-color-themePrimary ms-border-color-themePrimary ident_1376_1455" tabindex="0">Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church.</span><br /> Burial will be in the I.O.O.F.
