Edward Jack DeFord
Edward Jack "Ed" DeFord, age 40, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at 1:06 a.m. in his home.
Ed was born on Sept. 10, 1972 in Canton, Ill., a son of Jackie "Jack" and Janet C. (Harr) DeFord. On Sept. 10, 2001, he married Lisa Randolph in Pinckneyville, Ill. and she survives. Ed was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and had worked as a sanitation engineer for Sam Lloyd, CWI and was self-employed. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Perry County Coon Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. Ed loved being a father and spending time with his sons and family.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa DeFord; two sons, Cole Douglas DeFord and Hunter Jack DeFord; mother, Janet DeFord all of Pinckneyville, Ill.; grandmother, Florence Harr of Du Quoin, Ill.; one brother, Greg (Missie) DeFord of Pinckneyville, Ill.; two sisters, Shari (George) Elder of Tamaroa, Ill. and Becki (Jeff) Tucker of Pinckneyville, Ill.; five nieces and one nephew, Ambrielle DeFord, Kiera DeFord, Jena Elder, Levi Tucker and Mya Tucker and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Tim Bauersachs and Brother Jeff Tucker officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.
Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Memorials may be made to Cole and Hunter DeFord Educational Fund.
