On 5-05-10 Michael J. Lasky, 51, DuQuoin, IL, was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Firearm without FOID card. He was released by paying $750.00 cash bond.
On 5-03-10 Sarah R. Roberts, 18, of DuQuoin, IL, was arrested for Aggravated Battery. She is incarcerated in the Perry County Jail.
On 5-10-10 Michael B. Goss, 25, of Murphysboro, IL, was arrested for Speeding/Operating Uninsured Vehicle. He was released by posting a valid driver's license.
Accident
On 5-02-10 at approximately 7:50 p.m., Danielle M. Swayne, 34, of DuQuoin was involved in a single vehicle accident. The accident occurred as Swayne was eastbound on East Park Road, approximately 0.3 miles east of Brickyard Road, when she stated she swerved to miss a deer.
Swayne's vehicle ran off the roadway, struck a guardrail, and proceeded down a steep embankment. Swayne was trapped inside the vehicle due to the collision. The Perry County Sheriff's Office, DuQuoin Police, DuQuoin EMS, and DuQuoin Fire Department personnel responded to the incident. Swayne was extricated from the vehicle by Fire Department personnel and transported to Marshall Browning Hospital for medical treatment.
Jackson County
Sheriff's Report
On May 9, 2010, at about 4:32 a.m., deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of an attempted burglary at the Elkville Laundromat and the Booth Gun Shop. Both are in the same building, located at 201 N. 5th Street in Elkville. During the early morning hours, someone entered the Elkville Laundromat through a window, then attempted to break into the adjacent Booth Gun Shop.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with any information in this case is urged to contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Office at 618-684-2177.
