Ruth M. Clark

Ruth M. Clark, 85, of Elkville, passed away at 10:58 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013 at her residence.

Ruth was a homemaker and had been a 4-H Leader for 25 years. She had been a Avon Representative for 25 years. She was a member of the Hallidayboro Methodist Church.

She was born Sept. 16, 1927 at Buckner, Ill. the daughter of Marion Thomas and Ottie ( McMahon ) Brown.

Ruth married Wilburn J. Clark on Sept. 16, 1946 at Dowell, Ill. and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1979.

She is survived by two daughters- Georgia Davis and husband Terry of Elkville and Sue Cox and husband Harold of Carbondale, seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and three brothers.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Terry Davis officiating.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the De Soto Cemetery at De Soto, Ill.

Friends may make memorials to Breast Cancer or Tip Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
