Carbondale Chamber seeking nominees for annual awards

The Carbondale Chamber of Commerce again will recognize excellence with a series of annual awards during its 102nd-annual banquet Feb. 15, 2019. Nominations for these awards are accepted from Chamber members and the community.

Nominations are due by noon Wednesday Dec. 17.

<h3 class="breakHead">Business of the Year</h3>

This award recognizes a business in the Carbondale corporate city limits that exemplifies excellence in growth, innovation, civic leadership, impact on the community, and involvement in the Chamber of Commerce.

<h3 class="breakHead">Regional Business of the Year</h3>

This is a business that may or may not be located in our community, but whose impact is felt all across southern Illinois. This business would excel in economic development, charitable support and promotion of the region.

<h3 class="breakHead">Young Professional of the Year</h3>

This award recognizes a business leader who is under the age of 40 and best exemplifies the principles of business and community leadership through service to the community, respect for employees and dedication to customer service.

<h3 class="breakHead">Business Leader of the Year</h3>

This award recognizes a Carbondale Chamber of Commerce business leader who best exemplifies the principles of business and community leadership not only for their own business, but also for the growth and success of others.

<h3 class="breakHead">Citizen of the Year</h3>

This is an outstanding citizen who has made significant contributions outside of his/her chosen profession, not for personal gain. Nominees should reside in the Carbondale area. The nominee's accomplishments or achievements must have been within the past five years and should have directly impacted Carbondale.
