Du Quoin Garden Club gets back together

The Du Quoin Garden Club met at the Croessman Square on Main Street on Sept. 22 to welcome fall.

This was the first in-person meeting of the club since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, and 16 members came - all wearing masks and socially distancing themselves.

Club members were brought up to date since February and made plans for the remainder of the year. The community gardens will be adorned with pink bows in October to accent the pink lighting along Main Street as an homage to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The club also will decorate the Croessman Square in an autumnal theme for the month of October.

The next meeting of the Du Quoin Garden Club will begin at 4 p.m. on Oct. 27, at the Searby's cabin.
