Shawneetown Fire Department to host benefit fish fry Friday and Saturday

SHAWNEETOWN - Shawneetown Fire Department will host a benefit fish fry Friday and Saturday to help the wife of one of their own.

All proceeds raised from the fish fry will go to Mike and Jill Heath to help offset medical costs and expenses for Jill, according to the fire department.

Mike is a member of the Shawneetown Fire Department and Jill is undergoing extensive treatments at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

The fish fry will be 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4:30 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Fish plates and fish sandwiches will be served as to-go orders from the Shawneetown Fire Department barbecue stand, located on the mall in Shawneetown.
