Street Machine Nationals draws thousands to Du Quoin

The Street Machine Nationals made a triumphant return to Du Quoin over the weekend, where a year ago the pandemic canceled everything. This year, the thousands of disappointed fans from 2020 were treated to a bounty of cars, trucks, specialty rides and more.

Moveover, Du Quoin residents made a great showing. The 1973 Ford Maverick owned by Drew Stephens and Jessica Stephens won Best Ford. and Todd and Lisa Bennett Filson won Overall Best of Show Street Rod and Best Engine/Compartment for their 1934 Ford Coupe.

Joe Wood and Randy Lewis came in second and third, respectively, in the first-time Modern Muscle category - Joe for a 2007 Ford Mustang and Randy for a 2004 Mercedes SL55.
