Benefit concert to aid St. Mary tornado relief

EXP Productions will hold a benefit concert Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Perry Park Center Theatre in Perryville in support of neighbors in St. Mary, Missouri, impacted by the Oct. 24 tornado, which ripped through the small community.

Many residents lost more than just electricity - some lost their homes, others their livelihood. All proceeds from this event will go to help those affected and their recovery efforts.

City Tavern has sponsored a cash bar for the evening. Extra donations can be made at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m.; show starts at 6:30.

The evening of entertainment will start with a showcase of local musicians and songwriters, followed by three local acts - the Burnt Mill Boys, Deuce Denninger Band and Bill Tweedy Band.

"We're really hoping for a great show. We want to see everyone come out and show support for a great cause," said EXP's Bill Tweedy.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door; at The Guitar Shop at Hopi Ln, 7 West St. Joseph St. in Perryville; or online through eventbrite.com.
