Buchheit stores raise funds to help local cancer patients

Each October, Buchheit stores work to help those going through cancer through their annual No One Fights Alone (NOFA) campaign.

The Buchheit family has witnessed many of its members "fight the beast," a phrase used by Buchheit Inc. CEO Tim Buchheit.

The Buchheit family began the campaign in 2015 by calling attention to breast cancer by decorating their retail stores in pink. Each year a different cancer is highlighted. This year, Buchheit stores were decked out in emerald green for liver cancer.

This year Buchheit will donate $7,084 to organizations that provide services to cancer patients as the undergo treatments. All proceeds collected at Buchheit of Sparta have been donated to the Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois Charitable Funds. The Cancer Care Specialists will use the money for gas cards and personalized donations, like homemade blankets, to those going through chemotherapy.

Buchheit of Sparta thanks all customers and contributors to the NOFA campaign. Because of your generous donations, we can ensure that No One Fights Alone.
