CCHS Education Foundation seeks award nominees
The Carbondale Community High School Education Foundation is accepting nominations for their Hall of Achievement and Hall of Service recognition.
Receipt of nominations has been extended to March 10, and they will be reviewed for induction at a gala event being planned for Aug. 26 at the SIU Student Center. The Hall of Achievement is intended to recognize individuals who have contributed significantly to the school, community, state or country or have distinguished careers in business, the arts, the professions, public service, agriculture, athletics or any other worthwhile field of endeavor.
Emphasis will be placed on service to society as well as personal success. Hall of Achievement nominees must be alumni of CCHS or Attucks High School to be eligible. Each nomination will be carefully reviewed by the Executive Committee of the Foundation Board.
The Hall of Service is intended to recognize individuals who, through their actions, have supported CCHS. Hall of Service nominees should reflect service to CCHS as evidenced by their time, effort, financial support, leadership, etc.
Hall of Service nominees do not have to be alumni of CCHS or AHS to be eligible. Each nomination will be carefully reviewed by the Executive Committee of the Foundation Board.
