19 Election Petitions Out in Pinckneyville

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Fourteen people have taken out 19 petitions for seats on the Pinckneyville City Council. Several have taken out more than one petition, including Accounts and Finance Commissioner Augie Kellerman, who is considering a run for Mayor.

City Clerk Fran Thomas said she has received calls from other interested parties this week, but they have not yet picked up petitions.

Potential candidates can return completed petitions between Dec. 13 and Dec. 20. Anyone who submits more than one petition must withdraw all but one by close of business on Dec. 28 or they are all invalid.

The municipal election will be held Tuesday, April 5.
