Wanda Lee (Potter) Faber of West Frankfort

Wanda Lee Faber, 60, of West Frankfort. passed away at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale at 10:49 p.m. on Aug. 13, 2019.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 19 at Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.

Wanda was born in Hammond, Indiana to Eli and Rose (Best) Potter on April 2, 1959. She married Larry K. Faber on July 29, 1994 in Benton, Illinois.

She was known professionally as a CNA/caregiver, but her more important role was that of a wife, mother and grandmother, "Nae Nae".

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Eli and Rose Potter, her brother Michael Potter, and grandson Brett Sandifur.

Wanda is survived by her husband Larry K. Faber; her daughter, Norma (Donald) Tackett of Zeigler; son Clarence (Charlie) McCay of Royalton; two sisters; several grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Wanda lived a life full of love and laughter. She had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was contagious. Those who had the honor of knowing her well, will remember her for her ability to make any situation humorous.

She enjoyed shopping, crafting, playing Bingo with her husband and attending family events. She loved being a "Nae Nae" and doing everything in her power to "spoil" her grandchildren with treats.

She was a beautiful, generous, kindhearted lady and she will be dearly missed.

Wanda's family would like to extend their sincere thanks to everyone for their expression of kind words and thoughts.
