Nancy Lee Wilkins of Du Quoin, formerly of Stonefort

Nancy Lee Wilkins, 80, of Du Quoin and formerly of Stonefort, died Thursday Jan. 2, 2020 at the Du Quoin Nursing and Rehab Center.

Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020 at Palestine Cemetery south of Carrier Mills. There will no visitation, and all friends should go directly to the cemetery. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is assisting with the details.

Nancy was born on Dec. 7, 1939 in Stonefort, to the late John and Essie (Burns) Wilkins.

Nancy was a retired licensed practical nurse, and she worked many years at the Elgin State Hospital before moving back to southern Illinois. She later worked and retired from the Du Quoin Nursing and Rehab Center in Du Quoin.

Nancy was a private person, but one thing she did love was taking care of her little dogs.

Nancy is survived by two nephews, Phillip Dunning of Pembroke, Kentucky and James Dunning of Morris, Illinois; and her caregiver: Terry Williams of DeSoto.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bonnie Dunning and a nephew, Dennis Dunning.
