Sue (Susie) Kingston Davenport, formerly of Eldorado

Sue (Susie) Kingston Davenport, 85 of Evansville, Indiana peacefully and gracefully passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 10 in her residence at Solarbron the Terrace in Evansville, Indiana.

She was born in Eldorado on Sept. 17, 1935 to Felix Marion Kingston and Mary Elizabeth Ladd Kingston, both of whom preceded her in death.

She attended Eldorado Township High School, and later began working as a dental assistant and as the office manager after moving to Evansville, where she spent the majority of her life. She cherished her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and had many close and dear friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Dixie (Jerry) Gottstein of Springfield and Jennifer (Danny) Harpole of Evansville, Indiana. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amber (Scott) Sabin of Springfield, Jessica Gottstein of Springfield, Missouri, Jaime (Craig) Emig and Kevin (Carrie) Hatfield, both of Evansville, Indiana; great-grandchildren Ava Sabin, Jack Sabin, Theo Emig, Isabelle Emig and Henry Hatfield also survive her.

She is lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Susie was the youngest of eight children. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Otha Richardson, Jack Richardson, Melvin Kingston, Flavius Kingston, Floyd Kingston, Donald Kingston and her only sister, Wilma Kingston Vickery.

Our family extends a special thank you to her friends and the staff at Solarbron the Terrace and to the staff of Heart To Heart Hospice.
