Bonnie Lee Gardner of Coulterville, formerly of Du Quoin

Bonnie Lee Gardner, age 67, of Coulterville, Illinois, passed away at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021 in her home.

Bonnie was born on Oct. 8, 1953 in Du Quoin, a daughter to Frank and Fern (Kohring) Easdale. Bonnie was a homemaker who cherished taking care of and spending time with her family. She especially loved her children and grandchildren, and Bonnie treasured watching them play sports and playing on the iPod with them.

She adored animals and collected "glass face" dolls. Bonnie was a great cook who made a delicious squash casserole. She did not need much except for her family.

Survivors include her two daughters, Starmie (Dwayne) Wisnasky of Tilden, Illinois and Wendy (Randy) Gischer of Coulterville; one son, Terrance (Athena) Kempfer of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two sisters, Sandy Vickery of Percy, Illinois and Sandy Easdale of Springfield, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her family and friends who truly loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Sonny Kempfer.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Pyatt Funeral Home in Coulterville, with Pastor Paul Hahn officiating. Interment will be in Tilden Cemetery, in Tilden.

Visitation will precede the funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Pyatt Funeral Home in Coulterville.

Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, attendance will be limited and social distancing will be observed. All attendees are asked to wear a mask.
