Kenneth C. Bollman of Chester

Kenneth C. Bollman, 80, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 12:25 a.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born to the late Dietrich and Frieda (nee Hartman) Bollmann on April 29, 1941 in Chester. Kenneth married Connie Meininger on Jan. 25, 1964 in Belleville, Illinois; she survives.

He was a contractor, and he owned Bremen Builders for more than 30 years.

Kenneth was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Wine Hill. He was also a member of the Chester Boat Club, Eagles Club Aerie #3252 and the Carpenter's Local Union where he was awarded his 60-year pin. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, Jeep rides, spending time with family and going on vacations.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Bollmann of Chester; three children, Mark (Genia) Bollmann of Chester, Brett (Shirleen) Bollmann of Chester and Megan (Chris) Fleming of Carbondale; one sister, Gloria Besterfield of St. Louis; eight grandchildren, Joel, Chelsie (Bailey), Libby, Gage, Abbigail, Cassandra, Eli and Marlee; two great-grandchildren, Norah and Julian; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Maydelle Strub.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Wine Hill, Illinois with Ministers Deb Rathert and Michael Foppe officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, in Wine Hill.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 17 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Wine Hill.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
