Jacob Emmanuel 'Jake' Brandon of Pinckneyville

Jacob Emmanuel "Jake" Brandon, 35, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 10:21 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Jake was a process tech at Nascote Industries in Nashville, Illinois, and was a member of the Lighthouse Church in Royalton, Illinois. Jake was devoted to God and his church and he enjoyed traveling to different churches. He enjoyed sports, especially football. Jake also enjoyed deer hunting and playing Xbox with friends.

He was born Feb. 12, 1986 at Carbondale, Illinois, the son of David Allen and Linda (Loucks) Brandon.

He married Hannah Beckwith on Aug. 8, 2015 at Royalton, and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Pinckneyville; two children, Nora Ruth Brandon and Hallie Jo Brandon, both of Pinckneyville; his father, David Allen Brandon of Elkville; one brother, Joshua (Tiffany) Brandon of Nashville, Illinois; his paternal grandfather, Kenneth Brandon of Du Quoin; his in-laws, Gregory and Joan Beckwith of Christopher, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Jacob (Emily) Beckwith of Evansville, Indiana; nieces and nephew Cecelia Sherman Brandon, Theodore David Brandon and Ava Brandon, all of Nashville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jake was preceded in death by his mother; a stillborn son, Ezekiel Allen Brandon; his aunt, Pam Brandon; maternal and paternal grandmothers; and a maternal grandfather.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin, with Bro. David Betts officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin. At the funeral home, visitors are required to wear masks and are asked to observe social distancing guidelines.

Burial will be in the Cundiff Cemetery in Colp, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make memorials to Jake's daughters, with donations made to Hannah Brandon. These will be accepted at the funeral home. Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin is in charge of arrangements.
