Rosilea R. Leverett of Chester, formerly of Harrisburg

Rosilea R. Leverett, 72, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 2:05 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Chester.

Rosilea was born to the late Ardell and Edna (nee Mitchell) Hamilton on April 2, 1949 in Harrisburg, Illinois. She married Richard Leverett, and he preceded her in death. Rosilea worked in home health care for 25 years, and she enjoyed singing, crafting, baking and family gatherings.

She is survived by three daughters, Deanna (Scott) Eguires of Wildwood, Missouri, Shelly (Clint) Thrasher of Harrisburg and Sheri (Travis) Baughman of St. Mary, Missouri; eight siblings, Martha Handly of Dixon, Illinois, Adele Baggett of Harrisburg, Frank Hamilton of Elk City, Oklahoma, Paul Hamilton of Imperial, Missouri, Patty Reed of Herrin, Illinois, Ron Hamilton of Rantoul, Illinois, Jim Hamilton of Kenai, Arkansas and Lyndell Hamilton of Kenai, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Bryan Fogle; two sisters, Dorothy Lukancic and Judy May; and one granddaughter, Kara Knop.

It was Rosilea's wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
